WARSAW TOP 5 NOW

Guys! I finally managed to get round to finishing up my top 5 in Warsaw list. You all are well aware that I am an absolute fiend when it comes to a good brekkie or a quick tasty coffee..or genuinly just something absolutely different and out of the ordinary. Here are my favourite places which are an absolute must if you're in town & crave something that's good!

JUICE PRESS PEOPLE
Bracka 18, 00-001 Warszawa
The most recent newcomer that is very rapidly taking over the city! These days we like eating good, quick & healthy and Juice Press People helps us with just that! This newly opened spot, located right in the city centre serves up delicious cold pressed juices, creative canapés, oatmeals, smoothie bowls and naturally - very good barrista coffee..whether a matcha latte or a quick espresso is your crave - this is the place to go! The varied menu offers good options whether sweet or savoury is your thing - my personal favourite is the avocado & olives on sourdough - simple but yummy is their thing and they are never short of new ideas with their ever growing menu! On top of this the cute decor and friendly staff makes you feel like you've never left home - what more could you want on those early Monday mornings? Don't have time to come in? - that is definitely not a problem as all of their tasty juices and coffees are also available for take away - yes, that includes the cakes too..

RAJ W NIEBIE
Nowy Świat 21, 00-029 Warszawa

With Sushi slowly becoming passé, this hotspot houses the next big thing- that is Poke! No, it has nothing to do with Pokemon - Poke (pronounced Po-Kaay) is a traditional rice bowl with marinated ahi tuna (or any other desired fish) served up in a lovely bouquet of tropical fruits and veggies. Raj w Niebie is the first restaurant in town to offer this Hawaiian delicacy and they have timed this entree perfectly. The Poke bowls here come in four different flavours accompanied by a generous dose of fresh fruits & vegetables.  Not only is the food delightlful, but its not to too heavy on the stomach whilst filling you right up. With the rich plant dominated interior & the backdrop of an oldschol theater this place really makes you like you're transformed into a tropical sanctuary. Their heavenly oatmeal also needs to be given a try along with many, many other dishes on the menu - all created with a Hawaiian twist.

STOR
Tamka 33, 00-355 Warszawa

'Life is too short to drink bad coffee' and the baristas at STOR definitely help us live up to that mantra. Watch the life of Warsaw happen as you stare out of this cafe, located close to the Vistula river, right in Warsaws' Powiśle district. STOR cafe and restaurant is your local "to go to" artisan coffee & tea place. In their high ceiling interior, they serve up a really good coffee with a touch backdrop concept food store. Inside, you can eat a wholesome breakfast and even purchase high quality teas & tea/coffee making utensils Their craftily made cakes and pastries definitely are tempting as are their individually made porridge oat/rice oat combinations - that also cater for vegans & vegetarians. Don't forget to try their signature donuts & macaroons, you won't be disappointed!

HEALTHY AS HELL
Koszykowa 59/36 (entrence in the couryard) ring the intercom, 00-660 Warszawa

We all know that Vegan dishes are the simply best - and after paying a visit to Healthy as Hell a couple weeks ago, I was reasured of that yet again! This all vegan restaurant, tucked among the pre-war town houses on Koszywkowa street is irresistibly charming in its ways. The small, cosy space definitely makes you feel comfortable and welcome, which is definitely on top of my hangout criteria. On top of this their salad menu idea is great and let's you get creative in your lunch break -  simply tick the ingredients you like & you'll end up with your very own personalised salad - which is not only extremely nutritious but an amazing flavour party for the taste buds! Their coffee cannot be faulted either as can't their desserts - which are definitely on par with Londons vegan game. So whether you are a devoted vegan or just want to try something innovative  and different, make sure to drop by!

WERANDA BISTRO
Koszykowa 63, 00-667 Warszawa

With the opening of Warsaws' first Food Hall - a restaurant from the pack has got to be included in this list. Hala Koszyki, located just down the road from the vegan spot mentioned above very quickly became Warsaws' new favourite hangout. With roots that stem from a series of spots in Poznań, the Weranda Family group of restaurants and cafes is no stranger in the Polish culinary scene.  Hence it comes with no surprise that every time I walk past the Weranda Bistro, I fail to find it empty - it is always buzzing with company! Whether it is a calmer Saturday morning or a busy Friday night - the rustic decor and the open kitchen lure you inn and give a sense of authenticity to a highly enjoyable restaurant experience. What more - their menu is a great mixture of traditional dishes with a modern twist  - this bistro for sure will satisfy the pickiest of eaters (including me). I loved the vast breakfast options that included croissants, eggs and porridge dishes - my top three absolute menu essentials when it comes to brekkie choices. Oh and they 'juice' too, so if you're a juice addict you'll come out of there happy too. Just be quick - Hala Koszyki gets busy quick so reservations are often necessary!

Bon Appetit!
